Making Tape from Paper {how to / tutorial}

It is said that the only two tools a man needs is
WD-40 and DUCK TAPE...

Well, I say, the only two tools a woman needs is a
GLUE GUN and HOMEMADE TAPE...

I'm pretty sure we all have the glue gun...
and now you can have the tape
{ or make the tape }

You'll need:

Wax paper
Masking tape
Sandpaper
Mod Podge
Scissors
Printed Paper

Instructions:

Step 1: Tear a section of wax paper ~ 12 inches
{ I used 12x12 scrapbook paper }

Step 2: Cut strips of the patterned paper
 ~ make sure the paper strip is about 1/2 inch wider than the tape
{ 1/4 of excess paper on each side of the tape }

Step 3: Lay strips of masking tape on wax paper ~ at least 1 inch apart

{ tip ~ tape wax paper to your counter top }

Step 4: Lightly sand the masking tape ~ this will make it porous
{ you want to remove the shine from the tape }

Step 5: Spread a light layer of Mod Podge on the masking tape and lay paper over it

Step 6: Let dry thoroughly
{ about 20-30 minutes }

Step 7: Cut strips
{ cut from bottom so you can see the tape }

Step 8: Peel {carefully} and Use

I was inspired by Washi Tape by Craftberry Bush
{ she used fabric }
